A good site for info about India is WikiTravel -http://wikitravel.org/en/Bangalore - it has information about all sorts of places and some very honest, and unintentionally hysterical, posts.

If anyone plans to fly home from Delhi, pay close attention to the joys of the new Delhi airport. Everyone I know has gotten trapped in it. I believe there is something about it in WikiTravel.

Trip to Ooty

I am planning to take a short trip to Ooty from Bangalore in case anyone is interested. I haven't been there since the early 90s and am anxious to see how things have changed. I would also like to go to Hampi. I don't know yet how much time I will have, hope it's weeks and weeks! Zette Emmons
